The cone three rollers plate bending machine adjusts the distance,angle,and speed difference between the rollers to cause plastic deformation of the metal sheet under the squeezing and friction of the roller surface,gradually forming a conical structure.The core principle is to use the mutual cooperation of three horizontally arranged rollers(usually including two lower rollers and one upper roller),adjust the vertical position of the upper roller and the rotational motion of the lower roller,and combine the taper adjustment mechanism to change the contact area between the rollers,thereby directional bending of the sheet metal.For cone processing,some equipment may be equipped with specialized cone rolling devices or adopt cone roller designs to meet the forming requirements of different cone angles.

The main structure of the cone three rollers plate bending machine includes a frame,a transmission system,rolling rollers,and a taper adjustment mechanism.The rolling roll is usually made of forged steel material,with the upper roll vertically adjustable to control the bending radius,and the lower roll providing rotational power through gear transmission.The taper adjustment mechanism finely controls the taper curvature of the sheet by changing the inclination angle of the roller or the relative position between the rollers.Some equipment will also add support rollers at the bottom of the roller to enhance support stability and ensure forming accuracy during thick plate processing.
There are usually two methods to achieve cone processing:one is to install a cone rolling device,which guides the plate to produce a progressive cone during the rolling process through an additional mechanism;The second is to design the roller itself as a cone shape,utilizing the contact differences between different diameter segments to directly form a cone surface.The processing needs to be carried out in stages.Firstly,the end of the sheet is pre bent to eliminate the remaining straight edges.Then,the roller parameters are gradually adjusted through multiple passes of rolling,so that the sheet produces a continuously changing bending radius along the length direction,ultimately forming a conical workpiece.
Compared to the symmetrical three roll plate rolling machine,the cone three rollers plate bending machine has added a taper control function.The upper roller of the symmetrical model is located in the symmetrical middle of the two lower rollers,mainly suitable for processing equal diameter cylinders,while the conical model can achieve variable curvature forming by asymmetrically adjusting the roller position or adding side rollers.In addition,cone processing needs to solve the problem of sheet slip,and cone three roll plate rolling machines usually maintain the stability of the sheet during cone changes by optimizing the friction coefficient of the roller surface or using segmented pressure technology.
